Exam Coaching

One particular area of expertise here at Gresty Academy is coaching students to exam success - indeed one of our principal mottos is 'We study exams - so you don't have to'.  

What we mean by that is quite simple and is best explained by illustration. Imagine two students, A and B, both equally intelligent and hard working. Student A diligently studies the entire syllabus, assigning equal time and effort to each module which has been taught. Student B works backwards from the exams, assigning his or her time pro rata to the probability that the topic in question will be tested in the exam. 
No prizes for guessing who will get the better exam result!

Here at Gresty Academy we understand this, and we devote much time and effort to studying past exam papers, so that we know what is more and what is less likely to be tested. Of course we cannot predict exactly what questions will be on the exam - we are not clairvoyants and if we were our charges would be far higher than they are - but we can predict with a good deal of accuracy what types of questions and topics will be tested.
 
As such, in our exam coaching sessions we can guide the students into optimising their study and revision time, together focusing on the most likely questions and topics and making sure these become areas of strength. Our experience has shown that this method is one of the best ways to rapidly improve exam grades.
